CUXTON ~ a pleasant place to live
Where the
invading Romans defeated a local army continues to be a crossing of
the River Medway. Cuccola, an Anglo Saxon, laid his marker stone here
which gave its name to Cuxton.
The history
of Cuxton from the Romans to the late 20th century as the village developed
from forestry to agriculture and the building of houses for the increasing
population is told in "CUXTON
~ a pleasant place to live". |
